Blencowe Hall

Grade I listed Blencowe Hall offers a combination of luxurious 5* Gold Award accommodation in 12 bedrooms, stunning views from its terraces over the nearby Lake District Fells, tranquil gardens in its 30 acres of grounds and “exclusive use” wedding weekends. The restoration of the castellated medieval towers has won numerous design awards including one from English Heritage. Blencowe Hall itself offers an intimate venue for up to 40 guests with potential for larger parties to be accommodated in a marquee in the gardens. Blencowe Hall is within the Rowley Estates and is located in the village of Blencowe, 5 miles from Penrith and less than 4 miles from the Lake District National Park. The service of an onsite chef is available.

Capheaton Hall

Capheaton Hall is a beautiful Grade 1 listed private house built in 1668 set in the heart of rural Northumberland, owned by the Browne-Swinburne family. It is ideally situated 25 minutes from Newcastle airport, off the A696 to Edinburgh.
The Hall is surrounded by 500 acres of established woodland and grounds; with the south aspect overlooking uninterrupted parkland providing a true sense of privacy and tranquillity. Whether you intend to have a small intimate wedding or a more creative affair Capheaton provides the space and the beautiful landscaped grounds to do so. Licensed for civil ceremonies for up to 60 guests, a small reception can be accommodated for in one of the halls richly coloured drawing rooms, for a larger wedding party a marquee can be positioned in the landscaped gardens.
Capheaton Hall is offered exclusively to you for the time of your wedding celebrations with guest accommodation in the adjoining West wing, beautifully refurbished, it sleeps up to 8 guests.

Greystoke Castle, Greystoke, near Penrith, Cumbria

Parts of Greystoke Castle are almost a thousand years old. It has been owned by the Howard family since the early 1500s and sits in a beautiful 3000acre park with stunning views of the mountains of the north-east Lake District and the northern Pennines. The castle and estate lie some 5 miles west of Penrith, just ten minutes from the M6 and the west coast mainline. The estate borders the Lake District National Park, putting the lakes of Ullswater and Windermere within easy reach.

Kinmount Castle

Kinmount Leisure holiday cottages and apartments are set in three acres of stunning gardens, complete with lakes of water lilies.They are located near Annan, in Dumfries & Galloway, one of the most beautiful areas of Scotland, only a few miles from the coast of the Solway Firth. Kinmount castle and estate has a colourful history dating back around 800 years, and has been visited by many famous people, including Kings, Queens, playwrights and poets. The house and grounds have also been used for various television and film shoots.

Low House, Armathwaite, Cumbria

Situated in its own extensive grounds in the heart of the Eden Valley with breathtaking views in the distance, Low House is a perfect backdrop for beautiful photographs, helping to make memories of your special occasion all the more special. There is the choice of three Anglican Churches in nearby villages which cater for ceremonies of differing sizes. Will shortly obtain approval to hold Civil Weddings in Low House in a choice of two rooms, depending on guest numbers.

Melmerby Hall

Surrounded by walled sandstone grounds encompassing an archery lawn, Victorian gardens, a lovely stream feeding the River Eden, and a castle folly, 5* rated Melmerby Hall’s gracious wooded parkland offers an intimate, elegant and traditional setting for wedding celebrations. Melmerby Hall, within the Rowley Estates, is Grade II listed and is linked through sandstone carved archways to the 13th century Church of St John through its grounds. Melmerby Hall and its adjoining cottage offer 11 ensuite bedrooms and nearby cottages at Glassonby Hall within the Rowley Estates can accommodate a further 14 guests. Its extensive reception accommodation including a Georgian drawing room and an oak panelled library lends itself to smaller wedding parties and the archery lawn is an ideal marquee location for larger celebrations. The service of an onsite chef is available. Melmerby Hall is located 9 miles from Penrith and 12 miles from the Lake District National Park.
